Admin Instructions for Boys & Founder's Award Applicants (FAA)

Reporting Time (FAA): 830am
Reporting Time (Company Boys): 9am
Reporting Venue: BBHQ

Attire: Full Uniform (Day Dress), bring along PT kit

Dismissal Time: 9pm
Dismissal Venue:
- BBHQ (Warehouse duty)
- NTUC FairPrice/Wish Tree (NTUC FairPrice or Wish Tree)

Things to bring
- PT Kit
- Ezlink Card (Important for attendance taking)
- Water bottle

Attire
As an official brigade event, Boys are expected to wear the BB uniforms
according to the regulations and comply fully.

- All uniforms should be kept clean and special care taken for
the metal and leather parts.
- No parts of the uniform should be added on to or removed in
public.
- Please note that the Boys' haircut should be neat, and should
not cover the ears and eyebrows. Hair should be just above the collar
at the back. No artificial colouration of hair is allowed and no body
ornaments such as earrings should be worn.

Deployment
Most Boys will be deployed to warehouse duty (at BBHQ or ST Logistics)
or deploy out for short delivery trips.
Some Boys will be selected to be stationed at NTUC FairPrice or Wish
Trees if there are not enough Founder's Award applicants to cover the
outstations.

Meals
Lunch and dinner will be provided to all BB Boys.
Boys deployed to outstation will be given $10 allowance per day to cover
their expenses for meals and transportation.

Additional note
Boys are strongly advised against bringing valuable items. The Brigade
would not be liable for personal items misplaced or lost during BBSGB.

Special Instructions
For companies adopting a NTUC FairPrice Box or signed up for duty on
12th Dec 2009 Saturday (Car Flag Off Event), there will be special
instructions sent to you with regards to your involvement via a separate
email.

we would be moving around and may not be able to attend to your phone
calls immediately, we seek your kind understanding.

Notes on attire

Boys must report in the specified attire (e.g. musketry kit, fatigue dress etc.), which must be clean, neat and polished (where applicable).
Boys must also report in proper haircut, which is defined as hair that is not artificially coloured, and does not touch the ears, eyebrows and collar. Fingernails must also be short and clean.
Accompanying Officers are also requested to adhere to the same attire guidelines

Address is as follows:  The Boys’ Brigade Headquarters BB Campus 105 Ganges Avenue Singapore 169695     Participants may begin reporting from 0330 hrs onwards, and must complete checking in by 0415 hrs. Marshals must report together with their teams, unless already informed to do otherwise by their Leg ICs. Kindly note that only marshals and participants (4 Boys per team) will be allowed into the BB Campus on 4 April before the race.    End Point & Prize Presentation Ceremony  BB Adventure Quest 2009 End Point is at Springfield Secondary School. This is indicated by the dotted line box on the map below. Address is as follows:  Springfield Secondary School  30 Tampines Avenue 8  Singapore 529593     Kindly note that coach buses and other vehicles (except those of invited guests and race officials) will NOT be allowed into the venue before the end of the ceremony at 6.00 pm. Alternative parking lots may be found in nearby HDB estates.    Bike Drop Off Point BB Adventure Quest 2009 Bike Drop Off Point is at the patch of open field next to East Coast Park Carpark B1. This is indicated by the dotted line box on the map below. Bike Drop Point Drop off of bikes will be on 3 April from 1700 hrs to 2200 hrs. Teams are reminded to label their bicycles clearly to avoid confusion when picking up their bicycles during the event. Labels should also be waterproof in case of rain. Marshals will be stationed at site to assist you with the parking of your bikes, and to guard them overnight. Bike Pick Up Point BB Adventure Quest 2009 Bike Pick Up Point is at the open area next to Bedok Reservoir Park Car Park, situated next to Tampines Avenue 10. This is indicated by the dotted line box on the map below. Bike Pick Up Point     Companies are to retrieve their bicycles from the same location between 1600 hrs to 1800 hrs on 4 April 2009. Bicycles not collected by 1800 hrs will be left unattended and the Organisers will not be responsible for any loss or damages.

You can park at the Kallang Riverside Park via Kampong Bugis, then cross the bridge, turn left and walk through the park along the river towards Waterways Watch;

Or, drop off at the bus stop along Crawford Street and walk through the Kallang Riverside Park along the river, towards Waterways Watch;

Or, exit Lavender MRT station and walk down Crawford Street and into Kallang Riverside Park alongside the river, towards Waterways Watch.
We are directly under the Merdeka Bridge (Nicoll Highway), next to Kallang Water Venture (previously Kallang Sea Sports Club).

IF you are taking bus to Water Venture, Take the BUS 16 OUTSIDE Plaza Singapura. 7 Bus Stop(including Plaza Singapura). Alight Outside National Stadium Carpark "A". Please Check Map for reference.

IF you are taking MRT to Water Venture, Take MRT to Lavender MRT and turn to the exit towards Immigration & Checkpoint Authority. Exit and Walk to CRAWFORD STREET. Walk towards Nicoll Highway and Cross the Bridge.

However, those non-cyclists will only go on Sundays only as the Waterways Watch Society only have bike patrols on Saturdays. The program starts promptly at 9.30am on Saturday and 11am on Sunday. Remember to sign in at the start of each session.

SA Old Clothing Collection 2009!

Hi All, Do your part for this event! The proceeds will go down to New Smokey Moutain, 

which is largest rubbish dump in a suburb in Manila. 

Dear Captains & Officers,

We are about 12 days away from Chinese New Year. Many of you should be
busy doing spring cleaning during this period.

Stedfast Association (SA) will be having a 3 Days Old Clothing
Collection Drive from 20 to 23 January 2009 (Tue to Fri) @ BB HQ -
outside BB Shop. The donation will be send to Philippines through the
contact of Bedok Methodist Church to bless the Philippines Community.

We would like to invite your BB Company to support us in this project by
getting your Boys to donate their family old clothing at your next
parade. We will make arrangement to send vehicles to your school tocollect the donation at the following parade.
